All City compilation of all 15 tunes from their in demand 7X7 45 series. Starting off with the first release over a year ago, they kept the formula pretty simple : up and coming producers, instrumental 45s, themed artwork, one pressing.
Some were already known – Mike Slott, Hudson Mohawke, Onra, Mweslee and Fulgeance – and others were new – Snowman and Le n?ko – but all are connected via the beat scene which has been bubbling worldwide the last couple of years.
Leftfield, wonky, Dillaesque or Post-Dila, blip-hop, glitch… the many tags and slogans are ehaustive and exhausting but as this CD shows there are many styles at play.
Also includes a bonus track from Dimlite, and fantsatic cover art from Dom Sum of the LuckyMe collective.
