Eric Clapton Salute - I Feel Free
English blues-rock guitarist, Eric Clapton has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Yardbirds, of Cream, and as a solo performer, being the only person to be inducted three times. Often viewed by critics and fans alike as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Clapton was ranked fourth in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and #53 on their list of the Immortals: 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. He is credited as an innovator in a wide variety of genres especially in blues-rock with John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, the Yardbirds and psychedelic rock with Cream. The release celebrates Clapton’s incredible musical life as one of the 20th Century’s most influential musicians.
It features an array of guitarists giving homage to Eric’s guitar playing through the years, including amazing tracks by Pat Travers and Clapton’s own idol, BB King. Guitar Player states:
“Guitar nuts are treated to an sonic master class of stunning riffs, solos, and motifs — all fresh material for ripping off and evolving into their own guitaristic “trick bags” -- while guitar fans get an exciting and diverse listening experience”.
Highlights of Compilation : Rarity Tracks from BB King and Pat Travers. Compilation should be filed under Eric Clapton for maximum visibility.
