Alpha Beta Gamma
Alpha Beta Gamma is the first album release from Luke Barwell, Ex-Salako mainstay and Fonda 500 producer and collaborator.
Now hiding in the foothills of Northern England, The bionic armed Barwell aka Bitmap has been playing the evil genius. A thousand nights of ticking and whirring emanated from the shed. The Humming Machine, The Random Thing and The Box were born; home-made machines that broke Wilson and Spector into binary,
digitised and dismantled: a delicate syncopation is punctuated with a system
glitch; a melody is scrawled over a looping backbeat and disappears as quickly as it arrived with one shake of the Etch-a-Sketch. "...Outstanding...", Record of the Week - The Sunday Times
"If Bitmap could change their name to the Beta Band, thousands would hail
this as the album that finally confirmed their potential" NME 8/10
"Bitmap¹s debut long-player is a case of bottled futurism in a clockwork
world... Luke Barwell cooks up a swoonsome, weightless hybrid of new-clear
sounds" Sleazenation
