Live at Klub 007

Stupidly brilliant gig from Prague, March 2008. Superior sound - all live albums should rock like this. Black vinyl-style CD in full colour digipak. “As compelling as a good film noir, but twice as loud” – Uncut.

. Live at Klub 007 was recorded in the Czech Republic, and it captures the “typically unhinged blues-based swagger” (Kerrang) in all it’s brutal glory. The band is well known for it’s working association with the likes of Nick Cave, Lydia Lunch, Faust and Wire amongst dozens of others, but equally remarkable is the venue where this live set was recorded - 007 Strahov in Prague has been around for over 30 years, hosting punk shows behind the iron curtain. There are seven tunes from the last album including the manic single Bad Servant plus a dip into the back catalogue with You Should Be Ashamed from the masterful From The Heart Of Town LP and early favourites Just One More & Two Wings Mambo. With James Johnston at the helm and Terry Edwards, Ian White and Simon Wring taking no prisoners, Gallon Drunk is in the prime of it’s life.
