What's Kickin'...Vol.3

Part of the next Cargo Mojo ad. What's Kickin' Vol 3 is the third in a series of groundbreaking compilation CDs featuring the some of the best bands and artists that have featured at the wildly popular What's Cookin' club nights in East London.

What's Cookin' has been putting on the best in grassroots Americana, alt.country, folk, blues, garage and pub rock since 2004.

In the past year it has featured on BBC 2's Culture Show, BBC London News, and in a major Time Out feature on the rise in Americana club nights in London. What's Kickin' Vols 1 & 2 were played extensively by Radio 2's Bob Harris and Mark Lamarr, leading directly to live sessions being offered by Mark Lamarr. Regular play on Resonance FM.

What's Kickin' Vol 3 is bigger and better at 18 tracks - that's two more than last time! Eleven exclusive tracks, not available anywhere else! Southern Tenant Folk Union are the UK's most prominent bluegrass supergroup, featuring members of the Coal Porters, Foghorn Leghorn and Case Hardin! Hayman, Watkins Trout & Lee are the new outfit from Hefner and Ellis Island Sound man Darren Hayman and Wave Pictures frontman David Tattersall! Legendary UK country songwriter Gareth Rowan backed by World re-knowned pedal-steel maestro BJ Cole! Green Peppers is the solo project of former Soup Dragon/Superstar and Mark Lanegan/Isobel Campbell guitarist Jim McCulloch! The Loving Cup prove that the spirit of Southern Rock is alive in kickin' in north Wales. Ryan O'Reilly is another singing/songwriting What's Cookin' discovery, soon to be huge! The Fabulous Penetrators show British 60s garage r&b is still suited and booted! Walking Wounded have a career spanning thirty years and are the true originators of the much-talked-about Gypsy Punk genre.

Look out for their 'Best of...' later in the year! The Epstein were the winners in the 2007 Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition.
