Moving To The Country - Never Coming Back
'Moving to the Country – Never Coming Back' is the testimony of a band who recite stories of joy and despair, told with melancholy and wit, set amongst a melting pot of Celtic beat and Country Rhythm, resulting in album of real character. The Prelude are described as 'catchier than the common cold' by NME, and called 'a bowl-you-over-delight' by the BBC, while The Times tells us that these ‘unmissable scouse charmers… are rising stars in their adopted home town’.
The Prelude on stage are one of the most entertaining bands around – Clash Magazine sums up their live performance: ‘Overwhelming live, it would be impossible not to be swept up in their shamelessly high spirits’. Those familiar with the band will not be disappointed with this latest outing as they continue with the brand of original song-writing that these 6 best friends from Derry have made their own. They cite influences such as Neil Young, The Band and The Pogues; their lyrics, led one music magazine to call this album “a master-class in song writing”. Alongside “Moving To The Country…” the band are releasing a live music DVD, featuring an exclusive recording of a concert at The Zanzibar Club, Liverpool.
This DVD is available to order from the band’s MySpace page but will be given away to Cargo Collective stores only with all pre-orders of this album.
