Lead singer John Hassall has a past that needs no real introduction, he was the bassist in The Libertines. John’s effortlessly cool vocals are supported by Mark Underwood who plays guitar; likewise for Andrew Cannes and keeping the rhythm section in tact is Graham Blacow on drums. With their bluesy undertones and close harmonies there is nothing not to like about Yeti. Filling the gap left by disco punk they are a refreshing blend of reverence, style and pure talent and show just how stylish British rock music can be. With a sturdy disregard for the angular-centric, over-produced disco rock that has dominated London's music scene over the past few years, Yeti has stayed true to their original convictions and served audiences around the world with a much-needed dose of spontaneous, harmony-driven psychedelic pop. Marrying exquisite musicianship and songwriting that cuts straight to the core, Yeti's sound is at once timeless and effortless. Critics have compared the band's sound to "early" Beatles, The La's, The Kinks, The Byrds, The Coral, The Zombies and Love. Following another round of successful tours in Japan, Europe (supporting Oasis), America and the UK, Yeti camped out at Eastcote Studios to record their long-awaited debut LP "The Legend Of Yeti Gonzales". The band made no compromises, producing, mixing and even mastering the entire record so that the sound is that of Yeti and no one else.
