A couple of years back, compilations were popping up right and left. I couldn't walk out the front door without tripping over one. This isn't a complaint, mind you- compilations are basically mixes, and mixes are the best way of giving people a wide sample of what you dig. Posion Tree Records' Road to Nowhere could have been subtitled The Song Still Remains the Same, as it's a testament to the adage of "it ain't broke, then don't fix it." The fifteen songs range from the established (Mondo Generator, Brant Bjork) to the up and coming (Truckfighters, Turn Me on Dead Man) to the new tricks from old dogs (The Freeks), and all tap into the classic stoner rock sound in one way or another.
