TWIN...After much touring, songwriting, show playing, art making, name changing and gear buying, Olympia mega duo TWIN (formerly known as The King Cobra) have cut themselves loose. Their gallant, structurally severe punk-prog compositions defy classifications: descriptions range from "conquer rock" to sludge to art rock to stoner-math-post-metal--but it's really beyond all that. Mikeala's Fiend is a pair of cousins from Seattle that aren't afraid to put down the heavy sounds. Born from twin mothers, these two must've had their DNA encoded to bring out the rock simultaneously in their adolescent years. Chris Ando and Donnie Shoemaker are two of Seattle's finest up and coming noise merchants. Ando uses an assortment of pedals on his guitar to achieve a sonic massacre that's comparable to the summoning of a legion of minions from deep within the molten core of earth. Shoemaker possesses a metronome control and power which excels drummers 10 years his senior. While delivering the punishment to the drums, he maintains a steady intake of Dr. Pepper and a constant ear to ear grin. The sounds of Mikeala's Fiend are raw, fierce, and punishing, all without sounding like a metal band. These two are youth fueled and aren't afraid to up the ante.
