Bridges

The bands hypnotic take on trance rock sees them draw on influences as varied as The Velvet Underground, My Bloody Valentine, Spiritualized and The Mamas and the Papas.

From the blissed out pop of "Seems So far" to the hypnotic "Shadows Knows", from the gentle acoustic "Get It Right" to the driving rock melodies of "Blue Is Red", this is an album that merges experimental rock with great songs. The distinctive LP was produced by Neil Osborne, longtime singer from Canadian rock luminaries 54*40, in his first official production role beyond his own band's duties. "Bridges" was released in Canada on Microgroove/Warner in April 2006 to critical and commercial acclaim.

The UK album release comes fresh after the news that the band has been nominated for a 2007 Juno Award for Best New Group (the Canadian Grammy equivalent). Previous nominees in this category include such luminaries as The Dears, Death From Above 1979, Alexisonfire, and Bedouin Soundclash.

An established live act in their homeland, Jets Overhead are currently on a sold out tour of Canada. The band has previously toured with the likes of The Dandy Warhols, The Dears, Broken Social Scene, The Stills, Our Lady Peace and Tegan and Sara. The band is set to play SXSW in 2007.
