In the last year, UK guitarist James Blackshaw has been drawing the media attention he so rightly deserves.

Bursting onto the folk underground with a maturity of playing that defies his years. As an instrumentalist Blackshaw takes his primary cues from the Takoma /Vanguard school of guitarists. Although most inspired by the late great Robbie Basho, he is no mere puppet for this style of playing. With an amazing speed & dexterity in his finger-picking, Blackshaw creates some of the most intricate and beautifully fragile harmonies, which morph and develop into fully formed compositions of stunning beauty. After a string of CDR/CD releases, and a previous LP release for Bo' Weavil Recordings ("Sunshrine/Celeste" Weavil08), Blackshaw recorded "O True Believers" his most fully realised recording to date. It's Bo' Weavil's honour to present this recording of transcendental wonder on heavy weight vinyl. Blackshaw utilises 12-string guitar, Tamboura, Harmonium, and Cymbala (psaltery of Eastern European origin), for this recording. With new tunings, and a phenomenal finger-picking technique, he creates some of the most awe inspiring compositions to be heard today.
