Trashy drum machines clash with even cheaper guitars and a pile of synth lines nicked from classic Numan/Human League and is plastered in bad make up, plied with alcohol and dragged down your local seedy goth/electro club. The 15 tracks are a spectacular mash up of punk pogo attitude and disco beats with lyrics that will make you either smile or want to smack them in the face, just check out "Goth Girls" that appeared on a single with the 'Goth Girls give good head' chorus and the "White Rapper Riot" observations along with "Pretending To Be Gay" and we are talking about a band likely to achieve cult status with this release

Licky are a very strange band indeed yet their well crafted electro pop songs cannot be faulted and the moment the drum machine kicks in you are caught hook, line and sinker. Their sound is very much like that of the now retired 'Atom And His Package' yet lyrically they are much more like 'Bloodhound Gang'.
So from this evidence alone you shouldn't take them to seriously especially with tracks titled 'Fancy Pants' and 'Olympic Sex Gold Medallist'. Even the normal titled 'Goth Girl' is somewhat an entertaining track where Licky claim that Goth Girls give good head.

You may not take the lyrics of Licky seriously but what you do have to take seriously is that they deliver well-crafted songs that you can't avoid and end up on the second listen to the CD trying to sing along.

'Press Fire To Continue' is a perfect album title as most of the tracks have a Sonic The Hedgehog sound to them.

Licky have produced an album that is sure to get you in a good mood no matter what and for that it should be hailed as great.
