Stored in a plastic zip lock sleeve with hand screen printed artwork and pressed on luxurious green 7" vinyl, the single really is that little bit more than your standard mass produced 45 rpm. 'Samphire' begins precedings nicely with an impressive floor filler, as fat and crunchy beats dominate over twinkly electronics and warm synth basslines. The mere style of the track is a delight and surprise in itself, as music so forward, uplifting and with dance intentions isn't something you would be quick to associate with the general chill out tracks of Expanding Records. Fellow but slower instrumental 'Res' starts with a percussive loop, hiss and the stretching sound of radio fuzz before gentle beats and replica firework synthesizers kick in.
