Dekmantel Anniversary Series EP Part 3

Part three (of five) of the Dekmantel Anniversary EP series featuring exclusive new tracks from Hundred20 and Hunee. To celebrate Dekmantel’s five years in business, the Amsterdam label will release a compilation which features tracks from friends and artists who have performed at the successful Dekmantel parties.

In a series of five 12”s the label presents the genres that they have become known for throughout The Netherlands and beyond: quality house and techno in the tradition of all the good that came out of Detroit and Chicago. Both Dutch and international producers are featured on this comprehensive collection.

On this EP, Danilo Plessow aka Motor City Drum Ensemble and Felix Bergleiter trade under the name Hundred20 for the a side’s ‘Minke Whale Congregation’, an analogue Chicago style cut-the-crap-and-get-on-the-floor-and-dance tune.

On the flip, rising star Hunee drops ‘The Lowest Animal’, digging up some old-school sounds for seven and a half minutes ripe with nine-oh-nine action and a string-laden climax
