In an age of largely homogenous, pasteurised sounds this collection from High Llama, Pete Aves is skilful, inventive, experimental, expressive and eclectic.

Travel from a blue- lit electro bossa to a cosmo cool lounge and on to a rural riverbank reverie, wave to Nick Drake and pick up Brian Wilson. The lyrics could slide into a volume of modern British poetry without an eyelid being batted, and there's a song Sinatra would've fancied too.
