A Universal Crush EP

A year after Cosmin TRG's debut release for Rush Hour, he drops his third release for the label’s Direct Current series, this time a four-track double vinyl EP, boasting easily his his best material to date. As he moves away from his dubstep/funky roots, he heads more towards four-on-the-floor techno and house, yet his crisp drum programming and sharp synth lines remain to make his productions sound fresh and lend a future feel. With this release Cosmin TRG proves that house music still can be an inspiring and amazing genre. His special sound, ranging from updated, techno-tinged grooves to blissed-out space disco to twisted, retro-futuristic house, is the result of constant personal re-invention, with a strong cross-genre appeal as shown by support from the likes of Apparat, Marcel Dettmann, Benji B, Gilles Peterson, Martyn, A Made Up Sound, Shed, Deetron, Rob Da Bank and Modeselektor among others.
