Jank Random VS. Earl Leonne : The Frequency Clash

First released in a very limited run in late 2008, and now set for repress, ‘The Frequency Clash’ is Shafiq Husayn's first all-instrumental release, featuring 13 bangers with the SaRa feel, but taken to the next level.

Standout tracks ‘Earls Thing’ and ‘The Mag’ are a pair of absolutely ridiculous minimal stunners that hit all the right pleasure spots. While ‘Earls Thing’ features an off-then-on descending synth bassline and those groovy 70's drum machine sounds, ‘The Mag’ is straight up vinyl samples and strings smashed into machine funk, crackles and all!

There are just too many insane moments here : dueling snares, broken piano concertos, Bomb Squad-like intensity, and Mad Maxesque bouncers.
