Nobody's Robots: A Farewell To Piebald DVD

Few could dispute that PIEBALD have been a long-standing and influential force in independent music.

Since forming in 1994, PIEBALD grew and morphed, playing a large role in the Massachussetts underground scene of the late '90s and early 2000s. With music that originally fell closer to hardcore roots and drifting slowly towards an ultimately pop-driven sound, fans of the band were privy to their ever-expanding musical interests over the course of numerous albums, splits, EPs, and more.

Along the way, PIEBALD worked with some of the most notable labels of their time, including Hydra Head, Big Wheel Recreation, Side One Dummy, and most recently Rise Records (who will be releasing the band's entire discography via three volumes throughout 2010). This DVD spans more than 3 hours and includes an hour-long documentary feature that highlights the bands career and offers a behind the scenes look into the their lives, music, friends, and beloved fans. The film then flows into PIEBALD's final Boston show in its entirely, filmed April 19th, 2008 at the Middle East Rock Club in Cambridge, MA.

PIEBALD is forever remembered as a pioneer of the hardcore/indie rock crossover genre, and this DVD encapsulates every bit of sweat, blood, and used vegetable-oil that kept them going since 1994.
