Listen To Them Fade EP

Since last year`s ‘Death Star Droid’ LP, Berlin stromtrooper Robot Koch has stayed kept busy, completing the new Jahcoozi album for Bpitch Control, and touring the USA and Mexico. On a two-month stay in Mexcio City he found time to work on new material with his girlfriend and occaisional vocalist Grace, and their visits to ancient Maya and Atztec sites contribute greatly to the spaced out magic of this new release. The material is dark, percussive and surreal; low-slung dubby, and with a sharpness in its steps, but not dubstep.

The songs are heavy and dripping with analogue and organic sounds, as lo-fi field recordings mash up with heavy bass and unquantized grooves, while live instruments drop in like samples. Grace’s vocals (on three of the six tracks), bring in a moody soulful vibe over Koch’s twisted beat concoctions. This limited run EP also comes with a free cassette containing Robot Koch’s exclusive blend mix of all vinyl tracks.
