House Of Trax Vol. 2 EP

Second in the Rush Hour / Trax reissue series is a tribute to Marcus Mixx, one of the best Chicago house producers, who never really got the dues he deserved. Four of the five tracks on this EP are taken from the 1992 ‘Best Of Ron Hardy’ 12” on Trax sublabel Streetfire, a consequence of which is that they have often since been incorrectly referred to as Ron Hardy productions, although he died long before.

Featured here are all three mixes of the great ‘Liquid Love’ track (New York Mix, Chicago Mix, Can You Feel It Mix), as well as the epic ‘House Flashback’ from the same source - one of the toughest jackin' house rarities around, still much in demand and bootlegged on a single-sided pressing as recently as last year. Also included on the b-side is one of the best deep Chicago acid tracks ever, ‘Sweet Nectar’, which is taken from the 1991 Mixx Blood Camero EP ‘Tits, Ass, Pussy’ on Saber, another subsiduary of Trax.
