Super-producer Oh No follows up his acclaimed ‘Dr. No’s Oxperiment’ by diving again into Stones Throw and Now-Again label-head Egon’s record collection for a region-based instrumental beat album.

This time he's offered up a 36 track album inspired by and sampled from rare 60s and 70s Ethiopian funk, jazz, folk, soul and psychedelic rock. Even if you’ve never heard an instrument tuned to the qenet modes before, or you’re more into ballads than tezetas, Oh No’s transformative effect on his source material will blow you away in its otherworldly funkiness, with a wonky lopsided quality that homages the legacy of J-Dilla while proving to FlyLo, Ras G, Teebs and crew that the Left Coast old guard still know their way around a hard edit.
