Proper Horror Show

Dubin based producer Prince Kong came blasting out of Ireland in early 2009 with the 'Crossroads' single on Alphabet Set and the 'I Make Me Rigid' EP for MMR, followed by a recent EP on Acroplane and a soon-come 12 with Warrior Queen on !Kaboogie. Kong's debut longplayer, 'Proper Horror Show', offers eight more tracks of unrelenting dance-floor attack.

Buzzing bass beats, in-your-face breaks, and stark, dance-or-die atmospheres set the scene in no uncertain terms, but just as important to ‘Proper Horror Show’s sound are the guest vocalists who command the foreground on each track, namely Jah Balance, Tommy Trouble, MC Quilombola, Eccleton Jarret, Lady Grew and Comandante Krakken. The Prince Kong style is a syncretic one that brings together elements of dubstep, grime, jungle, and ragga, swirling them all together to create a new paradigm that’s somehow bigger than the sum of its parts.
