The members of Matson Jones are. Or at least three-quarters of them are: Unlike the typical rock lineup of leg-kicking pose-strikers or pigeon-toed emo wusses, theyve got their asses planted in chairs. Thats because both of Matson Joness singers -- Martina Grbac and Anna Mascorella -- fiddle the cello, and youve got to practically straddle those unwieldy planks of pine and maple to play them. Drummer Ross Harada, naturally, takes his throne in the back, which leaves upright-bassist Matt Regan as the only one standing. But dont think the quartet peddles sedate chamber music.
