At the early age of thirteen, B-Roc kicked his career off full force as a battle DJ in Boston. By 2005 he moved to New York City to take classes at the New School and further his musical endeavors.

Within two years he had produced songs for artists such as Mobb Deep, Cam'Ron, and Bun B. He left school to focus more on music, and the following summer B-Roc toured with Sean Kingston as his official DJ, helping boost Kingston’s record ‘Beautiful Girls’ to number one. Upon his return to New York, the young DJ dedicated himself to expanding his influence in the industry to genres beyond hip-hop.

This expansion took physical form in 2007, when B-Roc opened HeavyRoc Studios in lower Manhattan. Also at that time he teamed up with a new production partner, Mr. JPatt, and together they formed The Knocks. With a state of the art recording studio to work out of, The Knocks were soon busy securing remixes for artists such as Katy Perry, Boys Like Girls, and The Postelles. The team also began producing and managing the singer Samuel (Columbia Records contract pending).

In March of 2008 URB Magazine took notice of the powerhouse duo and placed The Knocks on their Next 100 list. In addition, internet buzz for the pair has been steady with countless blogs featuring their music.

B-Roc’s current projects include a collaboration with Andrew W.K entitled ‘DAMN! The Mixtape Vol. 1’, as well as his production work for Samuel's debut album, scheduled for release in the fall of 2009. As a DJ, B-Roc has spun at parties for Chloe, VH1, and Radar Magazine. His weekly gigs include the clubs Le Royale and Antik, both in downtown New York City.
