Birthed from the soil of Oakland, California, Drunk Horse is a band that celebrates the glorious universal music that is Rock and Roll. The beauty of having one's head caved in by electric guitars and pummeled by the drums. These things they exalt.
The sound of Drunk Horse is recognized as a call to arms, a Return to the Riff, a beacon in the fog for those in search of organic, heartfelt and explosive music. A simple idea, and one whose time is nigh. Rock music is a vast frontier, one that was widely explored, but abandoned prematurely. Drunk Horse are picking up the map and compass and heading back out there. In these latter-days of media saturation, if something doesn't sound overproduced, laptopped and rap-rocked to death, often the cry of "Retro!" is heard.
