“Punk lounge, tv ska, funk - even jazz (though never jazz-funk)”

Inspired by God-Knows-What, Chris Salmon, guitar-wielding mastermind of Stump (out there avant-gardeners who found themselves on the same label as Sinead O’Connor) has pulled together an altogether different kettle of fish and come up with a new gang called Tuner. Alongside Peter Stephens and Michael Levison of 80s ‘punk’ act Spit Like Paint, Salmon has put together a band that has created a new genre - forward-looking retro... Ably supported by multi-instrumentalist Steve Wilson and Glyn Owen, drummer with The Mike Flowers Pops (who managed to make Oasis sound like they’d been listening to an even earlier vintage of 60s music than they had).
