Markus Grosskopf, bass player of Helloween had the concept of recording a Metal album with no guitars at all, just basses.

The concept was shared with some friends such as Schmier of Destruction, Peavy Wagner of RAGE and Tom Angelripper of Sodom and they immediately gave 100% support to the project.
