Canola Tenderfoot began life after the joining of two people, musically and in matrimony.
Having both spent several years recording and gigging around the UK with other Bristol bands, Viki and Owen Shirley retreated to their Bristol home studio in 2004 and began working alone on a project given the name of Canola (the Celtic goddess of music) Tenderfoot (a novice).
With no agenda, other than to make the best music they can, Canola Tenderfoot utilise electronics, ambience and real-life instruments to make beats, grooves and tunes. Sat atop this musical mountain you will find songs about love, loss, hope, frustration, friendship and getting wasted.
