Way down in the motor city underworld, Reverberating sounds, Deflected by the ancient spirits and ones spoke to just yesterday. Local heroes and old time ghosts. Comes thru the walls like steam from a sewer, its "Coming Now!".
On their debut single this Detroit combo bash their way through "Wanna Be", a killer garage pop power anthem featuring Julie Benjamins tough girl vocals and a fierce display of TROG like guitar and drum. "Coming Now!" is the Fondas debut LP/CD on Sympathy For The Record Industry. From track one, Nolan Strong and the Diablos "Yeah baby" to the last cut, King Colemans "Down in the Basement", a seething instrumental featuring sleazy baritone and tenor sax, the Fondas feed off a musical legacy that runs from New Orleans, thru Memphis and ends up hot wired, ripped off and rebuilt in the Motor City.
