Alfa 9 formed several years ago in Newcastle-under-Lyme (nr. Stoke) and since then their relentless gigging and dedication has paid off, wowing the local scene with their psychedelic live shows and playing to sell-out audiences.

Now in their early twenties, and just signed to Blow Up, the release of their debut single 'For Your Bones' (5th December 2005), to be followed by their debut long-player 'Then We Begin' (early 2006) is sure to bring their epic psychedelia to a nation-wide audience. Expect the finest moments of early Pink Floyd and The Byrds mingling with the Super Furry Animals but following on from the tradition of great British Northern rock acts such as The Verve or Stone Roses. Imagine spaced out harmonies graced with beautiful lyrics and some stunning guitar work and you're about half way to getting what the band sound like. Alfa 9 are surely destined for great things...
