Simon Joyner, Jim ORourke, On Fillmore, Birddog, and now Wilco are all unified by the percussion of Glenn Kotche, one of the more adventurous, consistently exciting drummers in recent memory.
His new solo releases, Introducing on Locust, and Next on Quakebasket, confirm Kotches relentless experimentation and skilled ears. I had a chance to talk to him via email about his newest work and his otherwise bustling schedule.
