Eugene Kelly (The Vaselines, Captain America and Eugenius) is back.
Nirvana championed The Vaselines covering "Mollys Lips" and "Son Of A Gun" on Incesticide, and "Jesus Doesnt Want Me For A Sunbeam" on their MTV Unplugged album. Eugene joined the band on stage for a version of "Mollys Lips" at Reading Festival in 1991, and Kurt Cobain later invited Captain America to join their UK Nevermind tour. After the demise of The Vaselines, Captain America released a couple of singles before being forced to change their name to Eugenius by the litigious Marvel Comics empire.
Eugene has toured with Evan Dando co-writing the single "If I Could Talk Id Tell You" from the Lemonheads album Car Button Cloth. More recently Eugene has recorded and performed live with Isobel Campbel (formerly Belle & Sebastian), Future Pilot AKA and The Reindeer Section (feat Snow Patrols Gary Lightbody).
